Tadake Falls

We're on a roll of visiting waterfalls lately. I remember when I first found out we were coming to Okinawa, I was scouring pinterest to see what things the Pinterest world could tell me about this foreign land I was about to call home. One of the pins had this beautiful waterfall that looked intriguing and I knew it was going to be one that we'd eventually visit. It was even more appealing when I read that you had to hike through a river to get to it. Sounds fun, right? I thought so.

Last Saturday, the weather looked nice so, we decided to jump in the car and head north and find this so called Tadake Falls.

Such a fun hike through this beautiful island. Even Preston wanted out of this hiking carrier so he could splash his feet in the river as we headed up stream to find the falling water. It was such a perfect day with the weather just turning warmer, but not too warm that it was miserable, and the water while cold, was bearable and refreshing. I don't remember how many bug bites we each walked away with that day, but it was enough to leave us looking like we'd been beat up a little. However, it was worth it! We can't wait to go back and do it again.

My cute granddaughter didn't get to get out of her carrier & splash her feet in the water too?
