We held off having Preston blessed until we came to Utah, where more family could be in abundance, and my mom could throw the party instead of me, you know, because she's far better at those things than I am! She's just amazing...at everything! And let's face the facts here, we knew no one would really care to make the trek to Oklahoma for it. But hey, in 108 degree weather, we take no offense. Nasty nasty nasty, I've never been happier to be away from the mid-west! It's truly a love/hate relationship I have with that place.
John gave the most beautiful blessing, and out of complete shock, Preston slept the entire time. It was heavenly. That child never sleeps through church, like ever! He must have known it was a special day for him. That and I'm sure he's on stimulus overload with all of the new faces around, and sleeping is his best escape from it all.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support us, we definitely felt the love. And for those who requested the recipes to the delicious salad's we had, you can find the recipes

I honestly just can't believe how big he's getting!!! It's so crazy. So glad his special day was so special!
My funniest memory of the day was when John proudly came out with Preston all dressed in his outfit and he had it on him backwards! Just typing that makes me laugh. It was a special blessing and I'm glad I got to hear it.
I'm glad you were able to arrange to be with family for Preston's blessing. Joy's comment made me laugh--that's so funny : ).
And, 108 degrees? Gross!
Sad I missed it. Can't wait to meet him this weekend. That kid is huge!
