Big Bigger Biggest

I came home from work yesterday to the sun still shining (thank you daylight savings) and 73 degree weather. It was perfect outside, and all I wanted to do was go on a run in the warm weather. I knew this sounded like a bad idea, simply because between Friday and Monday, I'm pretty sure this child of mine has doubled in size. It's not pretty, nor comfortable for that matter. But I forced myself to put on my running clothes anyway, and really tried to convince myself a run would feel good, huge belly and all.

And then, without a moments hesitation, I plopped on my bed and forced myself not to cry. Such a baby I am! And just like that, I was almost convinced I was going to forgo the run. It just sounded too painful. Maybe awkward? And thinking that I still have 8.5 weeks to go, and he's only going to get bigger, made me kind of sick.

After whining to myself, since John was still at school, I got up from the bed, walked to the kitchen, and shoved a small little treat into my mouth that was staring up at me from the table.

And just like that, I was out the door ready to run. That little bit of guilt was enough to send me outside to hit the pavement. Who knew?! But I took it and ran with it, quite literally, and after about a mile and a half, I had had enough. So then I mowed the lawn.

How early is too early to try to induce labor on yourself? I'm only kidding, kind of...but I'm begging this little guy to not make me wait until 40 weeks. Otherwise, he's going to come out walking and talking already.

Umm, if you think it's hard at 32 weeks, just wait. I guess you'll see me in a few days and can see for yourself. It is painful. I won't sugarcoat it. :)

I played racquetball until I was about 7 1/2 months along with Clark, but that's the longest I lasted in exercise with any of my pregnancies. I think you're doing great to still be running at all. But don't be afraid of walking--that's so good for you too!

Haha, that made me laugh. Way to keep active! Well, I think that as you go along you will still have some days that you feel good and days that you feel like a pregnant cow. Just run with the good days (literally!) and on the other days just try to keep active in a way that feels good and appealing to you on that day. Nothing magic about running. Swimming feels AWESOME when your pregnant. Or just get creative with trying something different for your exercise buzz.
Oh, and I think your belly looks so cute and basketball like in that pic!

You totally look like you have a ball under your shirt in that pic, haha! Stay as active as you can for as long as you can! Honestly, I'd rather have a 9 or 10 pounder any day over a little 5 pounder (no offense Candria if you read this). I don't really want to do the 11 pounds again, but its your first so hopefully he won't be too big. A nice lady at church instead of saying "You're huge!" said to me "You must have a lot of fluid in there and that's great so the baby can move around more." I quit work a few weeks early with Carter and it was nice to have some me time and not have to leave the house either. Hang in there! I'm going to start trying some tricks at 38 weeks. We should try together and see who goes first, haha.

I forgot to ask..I'm guessing you're getting a jogging stroller? Have you picked one yet? I can't decide what to get.

I did not exercise much at all with Ivy. I wasn't aloud to with Ada....So I just enjoyed my growing self and kicked it into gear when I was given the Okay from the doc. Your belly looks awesome! Can't wait to meet the little guy

I have to admit, it's hard to hear the tall girls complain about their bellies....try being 5 feet short with an 8 pounder....talk about feeling like a cow! You are awesome for still jogging....just beware, that baby of yours may not know how to exist without you constantly bouncing him! That's what people told me when my first baby cried all the time...that's my excuse for not exercising as much when 2 and 3 came around. you guys are lucky to have such awesome weather! Your baby will be born at the perfect time when you can get out and continue to exercise once he's here!!

You are amazing. There's no way I could force myself to run while pregnant (aaawkward). I walked 2 miles every morning with Baby 2 but that was as good as it got for me.

Also, when you hit 37 weeks, start eating pineapple and lots of it. It has a crazy track record in my ward of putting women into labor. Wish I had known about it two years ago...
