But all I've got is, this is a phase. Maybe a long phase that seems even longer while you're in it, but it'll pass eventually!! A couple books I've had recommended If you're up for some reading:
The strong willed child By Alan Kazden And Easy to Love, Difficult to Discipline by Becky BaileyJanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16043587962798058361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4605064470734164759.post-37297905989121483172015-02-22T11:04:42.596-06:002015-02-22T11:04:42.596-06:00Oh Amy...I feel your pain. I don't know if I have much good advice cause I feel like I am a step behind each day. However, when it comes to naps, I finally had the girls stop taking them. Yes, even Ada at age 5. The girls were not going to bed until 9;30/10;00 and driving me nuts. It was HARD to say good bye to the naps. Really hard, but they also go to bed at 7 now and Ivy is usually asleep before we leave the room. There are more tantrums during the day for sure because Ivy needs a nap, but I would rather fight through those than to have my night taken from me.
I remember when Ada was two and if we got mad at her, she would look at us with her big, brown eyes and ask, "Are you mad, mom?" It made me laugh reading your post cause it brought back tons of memories. I realize how scattered my thoughts are, but being pregnant will do that to you. Just hang in there. It's so hard, for sure. I can't imagine kids not wanting to watch your adorable kids! They are just lame if they think they can't handle them. Anyway, you are a good mom and have a beautiful family. I am not going to re read this post so if there are typos or if it is super scattered, sorry! :)Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12312512387144166621noreply@blogger.com
