Get rid of it. I try to live by that. If I find something I haven't worn in a year, I try to force myself to wear it again--and if I just can't get myself to do it, it has to go. I have a few special things I can't part with for sentimental reasons, but I try to limit those to just a handful. Lately I've been cutting out square pieces of my old sentimental clothes with logos from high school and stuff, in case I want to have a quilt made someday (I can't really see that ever getting done, but at least I'm only saving 1/10th of the shirt now, instead of the whole thing).

And I'm with you on the "who's idea was it to build houses without closets?" deal. I have two items that I've had since high school and I get compliments on them every time I wear them. Maybe that's the trick, always buy classic pieces that will last years and years.Lauren Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15052330277890309297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4605064470734164759.post-9817986036985516202011-06-13T15:20:00.404-05:002011-06-13T15:20:00.404-05:00i just did the very same thing this weekend. and t...i just did the very same thing this weekend. and this morning i took a giant load to two consignment stores - one for me, one for lily.
